Elizabeth Younger is the Treasurer for the AIM Health Institute Board of Directors. Ms. Younger has a B.A. from Vassar College and is fluent in English and Spanish. Previously, as Director Business Operations for Unither Virology (UV), a subsidiary of United Therapeutics Corporation, a biotechnology company focused on the development and commercialization of a broad spectrum antiviral drug, Ms. Younger oversaw the design, implementation, and running of all UV’s operational, business and administrative functions, including government-compliant accounting, budgets, contracts, IT, HR, logistics and daily operations. She administered and assured compliance with government and other contracts and oversaw government and commercial invoicing and financial reporting.
Ms. Younger liaised with funding agencies, scientific partners, and subcontractors on business and contractual issues. Additionally, Ms. Younger worked in international health for over 28 years in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Her specialties included developing and implementing behavior change interventions and program activities in infectious diseases, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), HIV/AIDS, Dengue, maternal and child health, reproductive health, and family planning. Her expertise included project management, product development; qualitative research; impact evaluations; and developing, packaging, and disseminating information for varied audiences.
