Luann Jacobs is retired from an active 40+ years as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in adult rehabilitation and cognitive retraining in functional environments. In addition to a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from Indiana University, she is a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui School of Natural Healing, a graduate in Shamanic studies from The Polarity Center, and a pioneer in the use of heart rate variability biofeedback to assess the benefit of Reiki.
In Washington, DC, Luann is Founder and Director of Reiki/Biofeedback Services for the GW Center for Integrative Medicine (1998); for the GW Hospital Reiki Relaxation Program (2004); for the GW Breast Care Center (2010). In 2013, under the sponsorship of Health Partners, Inc., Luann brought group education Biofeedback classes and individualized Reiki treatment sessions to the N Street Village Community of Empowerment and Recovery for Women.
